Cooling Day

Got back from work and I felt really tired...I actually thought of going for a jog but then again, I felt it was better not to..The breeze these days tend to be quite strong and cooling as well making it even more tempting for me to sleep which I did! Slept for a couple of hours before Mum woke me up for dinner. I'm now enjoying the cool wind even as I type this post! Before that, I was playing Championship Manager 4 while having my dinner and I'm currently into the 2003 / 2004 season with Margate FC. I didnt want to take teams like the BIG 4 as they are already in the Premiership with lots of money to spend.

Here @ Margate FC, I'm not given any money at all to buy players! I have to look for free but also good players which can be hard to find but the occassional good player may come your way. I nearly got relegated but thankfully the formation and the players that I chose worked together as a team. I tried the fancy formations with the arrows here and there but it didnt work. So I stuck with the conventional 4-4-2 and made a few changes. It worked and I'm happy with it. I thought of changing my formation when it came to my 2nd season in charge but I felt that I didnt want to risk it. So I'm still with the 4-4-2 and getting some players in as well...free of course...

Lazy Saturday

No band practice yesterday as the poly people were involved in their respective open houses. The weather was nice yesterday so I took another nap again :) It felt good....I think I need more rests!!! Decided to clean up my place today...Box fan was so cluttered with dust and I had to put some WD40 into the motor otherwise the fan would take a long time to move...no Premiership matches yesterday..Boo Hoo! Liverpool's next match will be against West Ham and its showing LIVE on Wednesday morning @ 3 am! Im still contemplating whether I want to watch or not...

A Tribute to Sengkang Secondary

What a ride it has been. The time passed by so fast and before I know it, my contract has ended and its time to move on. I can only think of the good memories that I have with the teachers and students that I have interacted with over the past year. These are memories that I will treasure till the end of time. It seems like only yesterday that I first stepped into the school. I was out of job @ that time and I just got my degree. Thanks to Martin who pulled me in. I came to the school on the 16th of March 2006 and not knowing what to expect of me. Nevertheless, it was Sharizal who introduced me to some of the teachers who were in the school at that time. The first teacher I knew was Faezah and by 4th month, I knew almost all the teachers in the school! And not forgetting the EAS and students as well!

My memories with Sengkang Secondary will be of the times when I did the IPW for Sec 3. The theme was Harmony & Discord. I had to teach 3E1, 3E5, 3N7 and 3N8. 3E1 had to do a website, 3E5 had to do an audio presentation and 3N7 and 3N8 had to do a Flash advertisement. Each class had different students with different attitudes towards their school work and it gave me the opportunity to interact with them and giving them support. Naturally since I came from a band, I needed to know who the musicians in the band were. The humanities teachers were very supportive and understanding as well. It was great knowing them!!! Racial Harmony Week went well and it’s good to see that Sengkang Secondary takes this event quite seriously. It was an eye-opener for me as well.

Sometimes I had so many classes to cover, giving me little air to breathe and sometimes there was either one class to take or no classes at all! Overall, I did enjoy the time when I was at Sengkang and the one and only time when I really lost my cool was when 3E3 were acting like monkeys in the lab. That behaviour was unacceptable and I blasted at them. The class immediately turned silent, so silent that you could even hear a pin drop! After that, I really didn’t want to blast at any class….To me, it wasn’t a good feeling.

Anyway, that’s all I can write for the moment. I will write more when days are approaching!

CHOICE Promo Meeting

Just got back from Colin's house after having the meeting with Nick, Mel, Albert, Colin and I. It was good because we threw out lots of good ideas as well as silly ones while brainstorming and it is hoped that some of the ideas that we threw out will be used in some way, form or another. Lots of laugher along the way as well...I told Nick and Albert that I will be coming up with a sample video clip as to what might be seen in our Choice Promo..It shall be soon...

Just got back from the concert...it was an ok performance I guess...mouth became really tired after playing so many times...the seating arrangement wasnt good as it was quite tight with Benny on my right and the other girl (I can't remember her name) on my left. After boarding the bus, it took me about 5 minutes before I knocked out!!!! Super Tired !!!

Lots to think about...

I just got back from school after having a chat with my boss and she told me that the needs of the school has changed and that I could not be the IT Trainer as the school is looking for someone who is artistic (which Im not). I had to accept that fact. So now, a couple of things are running through my head...

1) Stay with Mastereign but in a different capacity
2) Ask Principal to see if the school has got any vacancies
3) Look for another job outside

But first, I have to see if I have been granted an interview by MOE. That would have to be my first objective. If I get a negative answer then I would have to think otherwise..

I need the faith now and more than ever!!!
