Racial Harmony Day

I had a fun time in school yesterday. Helped out Mdm Sharifah with whatever she required for the presentation and although there were a little mishaps happening here and there, it turned out to be ok. Later in the day, I took the opportunity to take a couple of photos with a few teachers dressed in their nice looking outfits :) The Racial Harmony Night turned out to be quite well, with music and food and an IT Corner which no one really came...sad man....

Managed to take a pic with Nadiah before she left for NIE

Meeting with Angeline and the North Vista Alumni Band

Yesterday was an exciting time for me. Work was ok. But what I was looking forward to was meeting my Thomson Band Junior, Angeline. In school, I didn't really know her. Then one fine day, I got a request on Friendster from her asking whether I could put her on my list. I was wondering who on earth was she. I checked the links and found out that she was from Thomson Band and so I must be thinking its one of my juniors.

Anyway, to cut the long story short, we exchanged contacts and soon I arranged to meet her up on Monday which was yesterday. Angeline was great fun, we talked about the old days, what happened after I left Thomson etc etc.

I then brought her to my place to let her have a look @ my sax. Played a few notes until my student was complaining that he was having tuition. And so I stopped. Angeline and I talked a while more before she had to leave.

I am definitely looking forward to this Saturday, where I will be meeting Angeline again to have a look @ the Alumni Band...Will definitely take a photo with her!

Angeline's Wedding

Yesterday, my family and I went to Angeline's wedding. So, instead of putting up the photos 1 by 1, I decided to put them all in Flash. Do let me know what you think!

Dead Man's Chest

Just got back from Tampines Mall after watching Pirates of the Caribbean 2 : Dead Man's Chest. Storyline was great, humour was great too :) Looking forward to Part 3. Some parts of Dead Man's Chest reminded me of The Secret of Monkey Island, including the goo! But sorry, no LeChuck was involved. Overall, it was a great movie...you guys should go watch!

So Many Things To Do

The past few days have been quite hectic. Doing video, teaching and other things as well. On Tuesday, the whole of 3E5 didnt come for IT Training just because I wasn't there. I complained to their form teacher and tomorrow I will see them again.

I will definitely ask them for an explanation as to why the whole class didn't come for IT Lessons. I want to hear what are their reasons...

England Out, France In

Yesterday's match between England and Portugal was almost to heart stopping to watch. Players like Lampard (who in a Chelsea shirt can score in almost exactly the same positions cant score for England in those positions), Rooney, Crouch should have played better. Although it was my wish that I could see England through to the semi-finals of the World Cup but it wasn't to be.

I must say that the Portugese keeper Ricardo is good and that is what that frustrates me when it came to the penalty shootout. It was also the 3rd time that Sven lost to Scolari. I think it is a good change that Sven is stepping down as England manager and Steve be taking over. Hopefully things will be better for the good of England.

As for the French-Brazilian match, the Brazilians didn't have their samba working for them and they failed. Like the time when they played the French in the Finals in 1998, the Brazilians were a lacklustre side, didn't have the motivation, didn't have the drive and a whole lot of "didn'ts". Im glad that for this World Cup, Brazil are not in the Finals. Why? At least there is something different to look forward to.

Feeling Better

Im starting to feel back to my best already. More rest, lots of water and taking medicine did the job. Today, we went to Pioneer Spring Restaurant @ SAFRA Mount Faber where we met Uncle Alan, his wife Shirley, my aunt Shirley, my cousin, Angeline aka Mrs Chan and Sam, her hubby. The ambience wasnt that bad. I would have enjoyed the food more if I had not been coughing that bad.

The World Cup is reaching its climax with the quarter-finals proving to be quite exciting with Germany sending the Argentinians packing back to Argentina and the Italians scoring 3 - 0 over Ukraine.

Tonight should be quite exciting as well. England vs Portugal and Brazil vs France. My prediction would be that England and France will go through to the semi-finals.

We shall see...
