Michelle

Michelle, ma belle
These are words that go together well, my Michelle
Michelle, ma belle
Sont des mots qui vont
tres bien ensemble
tres bien ensemble
I love you, I love you, I love you
That's all I want to say
Until I find a way
I will say the only words I know that you'll understand
Michelle, ma belle
Sont des mots qui vont
tres bien ensemble
tres bien ensemble
I need you, I need you, I need you
I need to make you see
Oh, what you mean to me
Until I do I'm hoping you will know what I mean I love you
I want you, I want you, I want you
I think you know by now
I'll get to you somehow
Until I do I'm telling you so
You'll understand
Michelle, ma belle
Sont des mots qui vont
tres bien ensemble
tres bien ensemble
I will say the only words I know that you'll understand, my Michelle

The End of My IT Training Stint

It seems like only yesterday that I just started my IT Training stint. I first started doing IT Training when I was at Springfield Sec on 27th of Sep 2005. I met new people and students. I remember being quite nervous at that time, having to face so many pairs of eyes! But as the days went buy, I got used to it. My colleague at that time was Wah Kheong. He was a nice colleague to work with and I enjoyed working with him.

Come 15th of Dec 2005 when my contract ended and I had to leave Springfield Sec. I decided then not to start work again because of my studies as I had one more module left and I didn't want to spoil that chance. That chance worked for me as I passed my last and final module and got my degree. Martin (my USQ classmate) called me up and asked me if I was still looking for a job. I told him yes and I was put to his manager. We spoke and then the manager asked me to come to the office for an interview.

I went for the interview and a few days later, I got the job and so I got my next assignment as an IT Trainer at Sengkang Sec on the 16th of Mar 2006. Again, it was adapting to a new school culture, getting to know the teachers and students better. I had fun there (albeit a few small problems which I don't want to mention here) at Sengkang Sec but then again, come 31st of Jan 2007. I was told (nicely, of course) by my HOD that the school needed only 1 IT Trainer and it wasn't me. I was a little sad because I was already adapting to the school and found it quite comfortable there.

My company told me that Bartley Secondary had a vacancy for me. I went over to Bartley and met Yi Xin who was also from my company but was posted to Bartley Sec. Met up with the HOD IT who was a nice guy but during the interview, I told him that I wanted a job that is more secure, stable and pays more and he agreed with me. So I turned down the job offer not because I didn't want but because this IT Training sector dosent provide me with the stability that I needed. After the interview, I told Marilyn that I wanted something more solid.

So I don't have a job....Where to get the money? By doing freelancing! At one time, I was doing 2 projects. 1 at Sengkang Sec (yes, my former workplace) and another at Bukit Batok Sec where I taught the Digital Art Club students Flash. It was the project at Bukit Batok Sec that was to be my last stint as an IT Trainer. That day is today - 16th of May 2007.

From the 27th of Sep 2005 - 16th of May 2007, I have thoroughly enjoyed myself being an IT Trainer and I hope the students that I've taught have learnt something from me. I have met some wonderful teachers in Springfield Sec, Sengkang Sec and Bukit Batok Sec and it was good to have met them as well.

With this, I end this post of mine and I hope that you, the reader, would find it an interesting read :)

Liverpool remain in 3rd placing

Liverpool remain in 3rd placing after their last Premier League match against Charlton. The result was a 2 - 2 draw. After seeing that they have drawn, I don't know whether to be happy or sad. I notice for the last 3 matches that Pool hasn't done well at all and I'm slightly disappointed.

Maybe Rafa was thinking about the Champions League final...Who knows??

I finally found the website that I mentioned in my earlier post. I didn't search for it. In fact, it came to me by e-mail! It's funny because all this while the e-mail didn't appear in my inbox. Funnily enough, it came to me a day after I just spoke about it! The name of the website is Soundbuzz.com. Will put the link there.

Don't know why but today I have been tired, both physically and mentally. Perhaps its because of the job. Or maybe I haven't been sleeping early. Tonight, I will play a few games, have a shower and then go to bed...

Mother's Day

Had band practice today. Seems like attendance has been dropping... Mr Tan wasn't that happy about it, of course he didn't shout at us but he was just putting his feelings across and I could feel what he was saying...Rush all the way down and finding that the band is not having full attendance.
Here are the statistics:
2 Flutes, 1 Oboe, 1 Clarinet, 6 Saxophones comprising of 2 Altos, 3 Tenors and 1 Baritone (It's full house for the saxes today), 2 French Horns, 1 Trombone, 3 Trumpets, 2 Euphoniums, 1 Bass and 4 Percussionists. Total is 23 people in attendance. I have a suggestion that might help to monitor the attendance and will suggest it to the committee.

Had dinner at Compassvale Bow. The 3 of us i.e. Monkey, Ah Pui and I treated Mum and Dad to dinner. Will treat the whole family again when I get my pay! Haha...

The Dragon at Whampoa

Met up with the lovely Angel and Martin yesterday for drinks. Angel and I had something to drink at the coffee shop opposite Novena Church. Martin came late and then we decided to take a walk to Whampoa. It was quite an experience cos I have never been to that part of Balestier!

Whampoa happened to be where Martin grew up and he told us where and what he did when he was younger. Among some of the things he did was that he visited a monument of a dragon a couple of blocks away and it was still there! After 28 years!

Had fun chatting with the 2 of them as the night wore on and I walked all the way to Boon Keng station to get home...

Meeting up with Friends

Met up with close friends at Holland V and on my first day at work as well! But let me talk about work first...

Reached the pick-up point at 7:55 am, had breakfast and then waited for the company transport. Met Arthur who was the company driver and while waiting met up with a few more people in the company - Serene (who actually left the company already but came back just to brief me), Nam Huat and Jeremy (who is going to leave soon).

Arthur drove to the next pick-up point located near the Caltex station at Binjai Park where he picked up more staff - You Lee, Li Yu, Audrey and Christina. From there, we headed straight to office. When we got there, Serene brought me around the place and introduced me to the membership job scope of which I was to take charge temporarily while the new membership executive was to come.

Lunch time was at the British Club, where I got to know more of the staff better. Had Fish and Chips and later went back to work. I continued to finish up a bit of the membership stuff and then met Mr Poon to discuss on some IT-related matters. After that, I was pre-occupied with other staff and when it came to 6 pm, I took the company transport back to Clementi to board bus no 7 to Holland V.

While on the way to Holland V, I think I stopped way to early! I stopped at Cold Storage Jelita! As I didnt want to keep them waiting, I walked all the way to Holland V. Guess I needed the exercise as well. Finally I reached Holland V where my friends are and they were happy for me cos I got the job. We had dinner at Tangos...if you guys go to Tangos, dont try the 1/2 baked chicken...its super dry!!! After dinner, we proceeded to Coffee Bean to have some drinks!

Overall, it has been a good day for me yesterday and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Oh yeah and thanks guys for the chocolate! I'm touched!
