Saturday

Woke up quite early this morning and I knew that today will be quite packed with lots of activities!

Left house with parents to go and pray to Grandpa at Geylang. Was there for a while and then a few of my cousins came. We did some catching up as well :)

After band practice, rested for a while before showering and leaving to go to the NUS Guild House at Suntec City to have a farewell dinner for Father Adrian, who will be leaving Choice to further his studies in Canada. Here's wishing you all the best, Father!

Busy Friday

Had a busy friday yesterday.

I took time off to go back to SKSS as one of the guiders was asking me whether I wanted to buy guides cookies or not. I told her yes and it was also an opportunity to see my former workspace and ex-colleagues :)

Met up with J at City Hall as she was in town. Went to the Library @ Esplanade with her to borrow some stuff and to also look for her favourite piece which I managed to find! By the way, J, if you are reading this, just to let u know that u looked hot in the outfit!

Reached home and knocked out totally!

Food by Grandma

Went to Grandma's house on Sunday and she whipped up a storm! It has been quite a while since I last tasted such good home-cooked meals!

What a feast!

Packed Saturday

Had a packed Saturday today.

Went to Colin's house to discuss about Choice matters at around 9 plus. Took a pic of the rabbit while I was there.

The Rabbit

After that, drove to North Vista to have the regular band practice. It went well. I think Over The Rainbow sounded quite nice! After band prac, I slept on the sofa for a while and I totally knocked out because I was talking to J in the wee hours of the morning. Missing her now while I'm writing my post....

Anyway, after my short nap, Jane and Rafael came over and along with my other family members, we went to the coffeeshop at Pasir Ris to have our dinner.

Photos taken from last Friday's trip

Didn't manage to upload the photos on Friday itself as the Internet was facing some problems. Thank God, its up already.

The coconut tree told me that the wind is blowing in its hair

Its siblings also told me that the wind is blowing in their hair

My aim of this photo was just to take the jetty, the row of ships and the rock labelled 17 not the couple sitting on the rocks! You can also see a bit of my finger at the top left-hand corner!

A Good Outing

I had great fun today!

Let me start by telling what happened today.

Woke up early at 7:30 am to accompany my mum to the service centre to have the car serviced only to find that she would be leaving later -.- cos dad was saying that we need not drop him off. Mum and I left the home at 9 plus and reached the service centre at about 9:30 am. After talking to the consultant, we found out that the servicing would end at around 2:00 pm! I told him that I can't be staying that long as I will be meeting a good friend of mine, J, at the East Coast.

We reached Sengkang at around 11:45 am and decided to have an early lunch. I told J to meet me at Sengkang Interchange as she was coming from Yishun. Prepared a few things to bring to East Coast, met her at the bus interchange and took 87 to Bedok. I must have seen wrongly although I knew that 401 does go to East Coast but only on weekends! In the end, J and I took a cab to East Coast and enjoyed ourselves there by cycling. It has been quite a while since I rode a bicycle and it was fun fun fun!

We kept poking fun at each other from the start till the finish. My butt hurt at some point in time during the ride and rested for a while to get it back into shape! After we returned the bicycles, we went to Coffee Bean, had a few drinks and then proceeded to Tampines to have dinner and then to Rush Hour 3!

Movie was ok until about 10 mins into the show and then the show just went off! J was saying that it was my "fault". I knew that she was joking lar of course. It took about 15 mins to get it up and running again and all was back to normal, although I must say that the ending was a super anti-climax!

I had a really good time with J today and hope she felt the same way as well :)

Confirmation, IES Distinguished Lecture and Dinner

First of all, I would like to inform my readers that I have been confirmed in my job already! Yay! Now I can set out the things that I want to do!

Recently, IES had a Distinguished Lecture held at UniSIM and it was a success. It also featured in the papers as well! On Saturday I think according to Valerie. Anyway, it was great fun being involved in the team and to see everything run as smoothly as it should have been. The guys at UniSIM have been fantastic as well, giving us the support that we need.

Last Monday, Mum, Shar & I went to Aunty Hoon Eng's house for dinner and my, what splendid dishes were there. Not to mention the 3 desserts! We had prawns, fried long beans and fish. But I only took the picture of the fish as it was the best!
