Meeting with old classmates

It has been raining non-stop ever since the day became afternoon and what was worse, I forgot to bring my umbrella! Anyhow, I was hoping that the rain might slow down so that I could at least make my way to the HDB blocks near the school to take the LRT back, which it did.

And so I made my way to Ranggung LRT Station and I was on my way back. I reached home, had a shower, relaxed for a while before I left for AMK to meet Thomas, his wife and daughter and Clement and his wife.

Upon reaching S-11, I met Clement and Jia Li. We looked for a table and sat down. A few minutes later, Nicole and Alicia (daughter) came. We ordered food, finished eating and still Thomas didn't arrive! I think it was close to 45 minutes before I finally get to meet Thomas. Thomas also brought along 2 acquintances of his - Ryan and Angie.

As usual, Thomas was always teasing me. It was fun but a bit too short, I think. We should meet up once in a while!

Today is Mel's Wedding! Im so happy for her! Congrats to her and Rizal once again. As usual, there were lots of people at the void deck. I saw a couple of teachers from the school as well as the students. Im surprised at how the students dressed. Some of them look quite matured :)

Meeting with Kelvin

Tomorrow I will be meeting Kelvin @ Chomp Chomp! Its been ages since I last saw him. The last I saw of him was when before I went into the army. Yes! A very long time ago! Weather has been good for sleeping though...Guess I'll pop over to bed when Im done with this post!

Goal!

Met Clement and friends at the usual basketball court. Thankfully, there was no one around. We played a couple of games and yes, I scored again! But this time with my right foot. There was lots of running made and by the time I got home, I am still feeling slightly tired. But nonetheless was still feeling good. You can't imagine how much of perspiration was on my shirt and it really stinked! Haha..I didn't mean to be so gross here.

Bought 3 packets of Char Siew Rice @ Cold Storage @ Compass Point for my 2 brothers and I. So I'm eating my Char Siew Rice while typing this post!

Casino Royale

Watched Casino Royale yesterday! And I think Daniel Craig played the character of Bond quite well, given that this is his first time playing 007. I've been hearing lots of stick given by the media, die-hard 007 fans and the like about how he should not be chosen for the role, how can Bond be blonde?? (Out of all the actors playing Bond, he is the first who is a blond) etc etc. But I didnt enjoy the movie as much as I would have because 3 silly women kept on talking when the movie was being shown! I really wanted to tell them to keep quiet but I didnt want to, afraid that I'll burst. When the lady sitting next to me choked, I was smiling to myself :) Im not being evil but I think she deserved to get choked for talking during the movie! Haha. I think after that, the whole lot of them kept quiet. Lucky for me.

For today's lunch, Playboy was asking me if I wanted to have lunch in the library as the staff were having some meeting going on. I said that I wouldn't mind. While at the library, Stickman asked me how is our black ops getting along? I told him that time wasn't really on our side as Important Man is having something important and Stickman is also having a tight schedule. But inside of me, it was Black Face and Fat Boy that was troubling me. I guess we have gone our own way. I havent been talking to them at all for about 2 or 3 weeks already and they too cant be bothered to talk to me. So I guess that sums up our "relationship". And again, Im not going to take the initiative. Why should I?

And all I can say is Wow! You should go see the movie for yourselves! I must say thanks to Jamie for recommending the movie to me, otherwise I would have missed it out! Im sure Hafiz, Jamie and I will discuss the different parts of the movie in the days to come.

Goals Galore!

The "match" went well today. I scored 2 (on my weaker left foot) and assisted 1. Normally, we would have played @ the basketball court but because there were people playing there already, we decided to go to the other basketball court in the park.

Started playing at around 10 plus and ended at around 12, coming close to 1 pm. I said goodbye to Clement and the guys and headed home by way of LRT. Bought lemon chicken rice @ Kopitiam, 3 canned drinks (all non-gasy) and headed for home. Had a shower, turned on my laptop and watched Superman IV - Quest for Peace. It was not that good by the way. I think the directors and producers were losing the script by then....

Was feeling real sleepy by then..I took a nap and woke up at 5:20 pm and got ready to go to church. After church, I headed back home where I had dinner and played some games. I will be watching the Liverpool vs Arsenal match tonight. Hope some good comes out of it!

Sinfonia

Had a good time yesterday! Work was ok but I was more looking forward to the Sinfonia 2006 Concert put up by the Nanyang Polytechnic Symphony Orchestra. I went straight home after work, ironed my clothes, had a shower and then left for NYP.

When I was @ NYP, I met the other Alumni members who came to support our other Alumni members - Audrey, Sabina, Jeff, Jerold and Jackson who were playing in the concert. The concert had some nice songs even though I was hearing it for the first time!

Movie

Work has been ok so far. The morning started with me going to the coffeeshop. I thought of buying back to the Lab to eat but I saw Albert, Adrian, Spencer and Shao Mun sitting at the table nearest to the convenient store. Albert told me to join the table as he will be going back to school soon. I said ok since I was quite hungry. I ordered Bee Hoon Soup with Fishball and went back to the table. As usual, Shao Mun was throwing his unsavoury remarks at Spencer and I (I wonder why its only the 2 of us!!!). After breakfast, we headed back to school.

I turned on my computer and started doing the compilation of the surveys in Excel for Mdm Sharifah. I finished the job @ around 0920 hrs and was occupied with other ad-hoc things like printing the HOM certificate for 1 student in 1T8 which had the wrong photo, configured the printers IP address for some of the teachers etc etc.

Talip then asked me if I wanted to go for a morning break with him. Since he was already leaving, I granted his request :). I was in the lab when Anbu came and asked me about his survey findings for Criterion 3 & 7. I guess its Excel time again...

And so there I was, printing out the survey findings for his survey and checking to make sure that no component was missing. As it was around lunch-time, I asked Hafiz if he wanted to have lunch with me. He said ok and the both of us went to the usual coffeeshop. There we met Anil. We joined him and I then introduced Hafiz to Anil and vice versa. The both of us had a very good conversation with him, I must say. After lunch, I went to the hall for a while to play on the piano. A little rusty but passable.

I really wanted to watch a movie. Was talking to Jamie yesterday and she suggested watching "The Prestige". I had a look at the trailer and it looked really interesting! How nice of her to suggest this movie, knowing full well that I like periods. But after looking at the printouts from the portal for Anbu, I would think that this is highly impossible already :( Guess that would have to be on another day...

Digesting the data for SEM isn't that easy..A lot and I really mean a lot of data has to be dismembered, dissected (dont know if its the right spelling) and calculated to make it meaningful. I guess I will have to burn the midnight oil AGAIN....

Had dinner with family @ He Ji Noodle Shop located @ Jalan Kayu. I must say the noodles really tasted good although the portion was quite small. Here are the pictures :
