Going Back To School

Had a good day today. Linc came to my place where I showed him the Xbox 360 and played 1 game of FIFA 07 with him. After that, we took 27 to Tampines Mall to catch Fantastic 4 - Rise of the Silver Surfer. I must say that I enjoyed the show and it's Fantastic as well!

After the movie, I went back home to have a shower and rest before I proceeded to my old workplace - Sengkang Secondary School to pay a visit to old colleagues. It was good seeing some of them. I gave them my name card as well since I have got lots but not enough as I didn't bring a lot of them with me.

Will give the rest the next time I drop by!!!

BCA Autodesk Seminar @ Meritus Mandarin

Had a good experience yesterday at the Meritus Mandarin. Met lots of people, networking, got 2 free posters (Fantastic 4 - Rise of the Silver Surfer and Transformers) courtesy of the people @ HP and stuff like that. But first of all, in the morning, I happened to see Pearlyn (an ex-colleague of mine whom I used to work with at SATS) at the front office of Meritus Mandarin. It was good seeing her again. Took a couple of photos since I had the opportunity as well....

Being Insensitive

When will he ever learn to be sensitive? Always asking me to be a priest....I really cant stand it....Being a priest is what he wants and not me and so I shall leave it at that....

Enjoy-ED

Band practice was ok....Mr Tan asked us to play American Grafitti IX and we didnt do well....He was pretty pissed at some points of the piece..my guess is that I told him that Pirates didnt have the conductors score and he was mad...So I decided to try my luck and search in the library see whether the conductors score is there...and it was!

I gave the conductors score to him and he was surprised also! Overall, yesterdays practice wasnt that good I felt. I hope next week's practice will be better! As I gave the original scores to the respective sections to photocopy hoping that they will at least find sometime to practice!

Busy Weekend

It has been a rather fulfilling weekend. Had a fruitful band practice and a wonderful Sunday as well. By 30th June 2007, it would have been 2 months in my new job and I have learnt lots from my Senior Manager as well as colleagues.

Band Practice

Today's band practice was good...I came in early at the usual time wanting to try out my solo part for American Grafitti IX. The trying out part was ok but when it really mattered, it was ok but still not up to the standard :( Must try playing a bit faster without any hesitation.

And finally, the Choice Car Rally! Overall, it has been a wonderful experience working with Nick, Ratna and Mel. I had lots of fun although at one time we went to the wrong location! It was a few firsts for me like going to the Historical Site where the Battle for Pasir Panjang was, the Kranji War Memorial and the Japanese Cemetery. I took a picture of the Kranji War Memorial as the view was magnificent!
