The GOD is back @ Anfield!!!

This is good news!!! We really need strikers that can score and Robbie is one of them... Maybe Pool is going to sell cisse?? HaHa..Anyway, here is the news from ESPN's Soccernet:

Man City striker Fowler rejoins Liverpool

Robbie Fowler has sensationally returned to his spiritual home at Anfield on a six-month contract - a move that will stun and delight the Kop in equal measure.

The 30-year-old, nicknamed God by his adoring Anfield fans, is back with Liverpool after a three-year stint at Manchester City, who signed him for £6million from Leeds.

Fowler left Liverpool in 2001 in an £11million deal, with many believing the former England striker was forced out of the club by Gerard Houllier after some well publicised off-field incidents.

But he has never lost the adulation of the Liverpool fans and only this month news he had scored a stunning goal against Manchester United earned him a standing ovation from the Anfield fans.

Now the Toxteth-born striker is back in his own domain, intent on proving a couple of seasons wrecked by hip problems are behind him.

If the move pays off then manager Rafael Benitez will have negotiated one of the greatest transfers coups the club has ever seen.

The Spaniard spoke of his - and Fowler's - delight at the signing, saying: 'My idea is for Liverpool to take one step forward and I think Robbie can help us make that step.

'We have signed a player with so much passion for this football club and I think he will act as an example to every player here in how much he loves Liverpool.

'It is a boost for the team, a boost for the supporters and a boost for Robbie himself. I'm not sure I've ever seen a player quite so happy to be joining a club before.'

Benitez, criticised for not signing an out-and-out goalscorer, also believes Fowler could provide the missing ingredient for his squad.

'Robbie is a great finisher who can help us reach a new level. He hasn't been signed because he loves the club; he's been signed because he's one of the best goalscorers ever to play in the Premiership and he can score goals for us right now,' he told the club's website, www.liverpoolfc.tv.

'He's got a wealth of experience and he gives us more attacking options. He's a different kind of striker to what we have at the club and that is good for the team.

'People can talk about having a lot of money to buy players but we've just signed a player with a passion and a heart for this club that no amount of money can buy.

'We are close to a very high level right now but with Robbie we can go even higher.'

City boss Stuart Pearce accepted he could not stand in Fowler's way but he has cut the club's highest paid player at £35,000 a week from his wage bill, which will save £750,000 a year.

It means Pearce is now expected to make an increase bid for Greek striker Georgios Samaras, who has gone on `strike' at Dutch club Heerenveen after they rejected City's original approach.

'Liverpool are his dream club and he wanted to leave and rejoin them,' said Pearce.

'If I refused him this opportunity of fulfilling his ambition it would not be good for him or Manchester City. We wish him well for the future and thank him for his efforts.'

Fowler returns to Anfield from the City of Manchester Stadium on a free transfer with a six-month contract, with the prospect of that being extended by another six months.

He made 75 starts for City and scored 27 goals during his time with the club.

Fowler, who won 26 England caps, scored 173 goals in 330 appearances for Liverpool and his massive Merseyside fan club will hope he will soon be able to add to that total.

However, he is cup-tied and cannot play at Portsmouth in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday but will be available against Birmingham at Anfield in the Premiership on Wednesday.

No communication

Sometimes being in this family really makes you quite fed up...I dont expect much but sometimes you just can't help it but get frustrated..one very good example is my sis...I think that she is too caught up in her own activites that she forgets the family, wanting to spend more time with her dancing and new bf melvin, rather than us.. leaving home early and coming home late and upon reaching home, she just goes to her room, closes her door and thats it... I feel as if she treats the house as if its a hotel. If she wants it this way, so be it.

I can't be more than bothered to talk to her. Sometimes when I talk to her, its like as if she just wants me to hear what I say and then carry on with her own things.. It is only when she needs help then she would come to me, otherwise its the "leave me alone" attitude...

I dont really like to judge people by their looks but I seriously don't quite like melvin. He dosen't give me that "person-with-a-good-character" look but more like wanting my sis only for her good looks...

This topic will only be getting hotter!!!

P.S. And I don't care if she reads this!!

Going back to Springfield and Supper

Yesterday was quite an event full day for me. I went to Springfield yesterday to help Evelyn with the uploading for the parents webpage but apparently, no materials were given to her to upload and she seemed rather displeased and upset about it. I think that was probably due to the fact that she did not have enough sleep. She slept from 12 am till 5 am...Felt really sorry for her. Anyway, I showed her a bit about the webpage design and uploading amidst the yawning and closing of eyes!!!

It also felt good because yesterday was the day that I managed to talk to the teacher that I liked. Lets call her A. I was looking for some of the other teachers like Cynthia and spoke to her a bit. Then A turned around and asked Cynthia which Terminal @ Changi Airport had more cafes. Cynthia said she didnt know and knowing that it was my chance, I told A that Terminal 2 had more cafes. Talked to Cynthia a little bit more and when someone came to look for Cynthia, I grabbed my chance and introduced myself to her.

We talked for quite a fair bit about teaching and stuff like that and I asked A, how do I contact her in the future. I asked her if she had MSN or Friendster but she said that she wasn't IT saavy in all these. Too much e-mail read until she got a headache and so the next best thing that she came up with was to give me her mobile number!!! Naturally, I was very happy that I managed to get her number without even having to ask her directly...

So that's my first encounter with A and hope that there will be more to come!!!

After coming back from Springfield, I reached home and rested a while before commencing on my 2nd journey to Reds Schoolhouse. Upon reaching Reds Schoolhouse, I found it to be a cosy and warm school. There I met Rachel, the director of the school to discuss about what she wants for her website. Lots of information to play with and I hope to do a really good job for her as it is my first time doing a webpage for someone.

After the discussion, Rachel locked the school gates and we drove to her place not too far away. We had dinner with Alastair (husband), Alexander (son) and Richard (uncle). Dinner tasted excellent :) I particularly liked the fried beansprout. So it was about 9 plus when John, Michael and Judith came. Went to Chomp Chomp for supper and had a excellent spead of food there. Bought hokkien mee for Shimon, said goodbye to the rest of the supper group and headed home...

King Kong

Today has been a short day. Woke up at 10 am, went for a jog, came back, rested for a while, had a shower, met John, Jenny and Wenny for lunch at Spageddies, Paragon and later went to GV @ Plaza Singapura to watch King Kong.

I must say that the special effects was good but apart from that, the story line was not that good. After the show, Jenny went to meet her parents for dinner while John, Wenny and myself had dinner @ the foodcourt.

After dinner, we all went home...
