Met an old friend today

Daison & I @ Coffeeshop

The weather today was good...in fact better!!! It was raining but I still had to go to work :( Before I went out for lunch, I told Mr Kok (my colleague) that I would buy back but then again I changed my mind and decided to try that pig's organ soup which I had seen a few days before.

Well, when I was at the stall, I ordered a bowl of pig's stomach soup and rice. Little did I know that the person next to me was my friend!! His name is Daison. I used to work with him when we were working at the airport. Now he's working as an air con sales man.

When my food came, the lady who served me told me that I need not pay. I was wondering why. A few minutes later, Daison went into the stall to help himself with extra soup and noodles. It was only then did I realise that he knows the stallholders. So when I asked him who were the stallholders, he told me that they were his relations - cousins, uncle and aunty.

We spoke for about 15 mins before I left. Again, thanking him for the food.

Crabby Crab

Today the movement was quite simple. Went to church, had lunch, went to Michael's place for practice and dinner at one of the coffeeshops at Ang Mo Kio. But this was no ordinary coffeeshop...this was a coffeeshop with a crab!! It was delicious..as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. Have a look..

Busy as always

Yesterday, I had taught the parents Dreamweaver. I guess it was an exciting prospect as it gave me the chance to meet up with the parents of various students. I dont know who their sons/daughters were except for Doris whose son is Marshall. Quite a funny guy that Marshall. Anyway, it was a good experience for me. Soon, i will be teaching the teachers of Springfield Sec Dreamweaver. Another keen lot as well!!!

After I left school, which was at around 2020 hrs, I hurried towards Bishan where I had to meet up with the rest of the guys for caroling. Reached there @ around 21oo hrs and quickly rehearsed. As usual, the choir is never complete but anyway, we really had great fun singing the carols. Left Michael and Judith's place at around 0000 hrs and reached home @ 0100 hrs as I fetched John and Jenny back....

Work, work, work

I have a lot of work to do today!!! Lots to get done but hopefully I can finish it sooner rather than later!!!

I have to:

1) complete the survey and evaluation for Sec 1 and Sec 2;

2) do the noticeboards for the labs;

3) research on the quiz (which I think is interesting);

4) filing and

5) prepare the feedback form for my dreamweaver parents network session.

Woke up at 6:15 am yesterday morning to get myself ready for the Christ@Work seminar. Took the train to Dhoby Ghaut station and switched to the North-South line where I met my Mauritian friend, John. We walked out of the station and had breakfast @ Shaw House McDonald's.

Finishing breakfast, we then took a cab to the RELC Hotel where the seminar was going to be held. Upon registering, we were given our name tags which we had to carry along. The schedule is as follows :

Harold Burke-Sivers (Founder & Director of Aurem Cordis)

Deacon Harold is a very dynamic and powerful speaker as well as cracking jokes at the same time!!!

Christmas caroling

Today is my 1st day caroling with the other members of the Choice Weekend. I have put together a repertoire of christmas carols and I do hope that the other members like them.

It wasn't easy because even though the chords were there, I still had to adjust the position of the chords so that I know that that particular chord is for that particular word.

Managed to finish doing that yesterday and it took me 2 hours to do it. Quite long but it was satisfactory. Will write down how did the meeting go :)
