It's my sister's 22nd birthday today and I just wanna wish her a very happy birthday!
Bach to the Beat Concert
Just got back from the concert and I must say that it has been a very entertaining one! I expected it to be like a normal concert but it turned out to be a concert and a mini-play put together, an ingenious idea!
The audience was roaring with laughter and so I guess the $12 was worth it! The only reason why I wanted to come to this concert was because I wanted to hear Deep Purple Medley. The piece was ok but I was disappointed by the Baritone Sax solo. Maybe I heard too much of the Tokyo Kosei version already...

A Time to Reflect
It feels different somehow, that feeling of being employed...it sure does take away that negative, frustrating feeling of being unemployed...at least, I don't have to worry about payment and stuff like that...I can also look forward to paying my mum back for the laptop and my insurance!

Called up for 2nd Interview
I have been called up for a 2nd interview and I wonder how I will fare this time. The only burning question is will I get the job?
Will definitely post what happened after I come back from the interview!

Halftime Report
Pool are currently 1 - 0 down. They are not playing well as they should have been. Giving the ball away too cheaply. I'm hoping for at least a 1 - 1 draw or a 2 - 1 win to Liverpool. However, if the result turns out to be 1 - 0 in favour of Chelsea, Pool have got lots to work on come the 2nd leg.

Interview
Just got back from my interview. Whew! The Exec. Director was being pretty frank but guess I had to accept the way he spoke. The Senior Director and the Manager for IT and Membership were also there. Interview went ok at first and as it went on further, it was pretty obvious that I wasnt suited for the role of being the IT / Membership Manager but anyway, discussions were open between the 3 of them and I was told there and then that there would be another position for me which was newly created! Just hope that things will go my way! Crossing fingers!

Dinner Treat
Just got back from Sakura @ Toa Payoh. I must say that its a wide spread of food. Had dinner with BM, JC, Marilyn, Wee Gek, Pei Ling, Ping Ma and Yan Hao. It was great! Having people that I've known for many years (The TSS Ppl) and bonding with the Alumni members (The NV Ppl).
And as usual, being musicians in a band, we spoke about issues regarding and concerning NVAB. Of course, such matters I shall not divulge here. This bonding can't be taken away. I feel belonged.

Ben-Hur
I read Ben Hur when I was young and the story was very interesting and so, once I started reading, there was no stopping! It was great to see a book that I read being made into a movie, no doubt the dvd was long (there was a Side A and a Side B) but nevertheless, the directors captured the essence of the movie!

Concert @ Esplande
Yesterday, JC and I went to a concert performance by Mus'Art Wind Orchestra at the Esplanade and I must say that it was a good performance! As it was free, JC and I went to the circus seats where we had a birds eye view of the stage. JC and I wished that our Alumni Band can attain this status and play at the Esplanade one day! After the performance, we went to the Esplanade library where I borrowed a couple of DVDs to watch at home!
On a packed Sunday afternoon

A Good Day
Yesterday was a good day. It started off with band practice and a couple of new pieces as well. I was terribly upset with the way my sax sounded. It sounded like lots of saliva in it! I also changed my reed as the current one that I'm using is getting worn out already.
After band practice, there were much things to discuss about regarding the North Vista Alumni Band of which I shall not mention but lets just say that I'm looking forward to those changes.
During band prac, Jian Cheng told me that Farah was in hospital. I was shocked to hear that and wondered what had happened to her. Anyway, Bao Ming (BM) gave a few of us a lift to CP where we had lunch. As we finished lunch, I mentioned to BM that we (Jian Cheng, Pei Ling and myself) were going to the hospital and he was shocked to hear that Farah was in hospital and so we got a lift from him to Alexandra Hospital.
We saw Farah and spoke to her about what happened to her and the recent events that will be upcoming in the band. After that, BM drove us to Bishan and from there onwards, we went home.

Meeting up with Andrew and Concert
Today, I met up with Andrew @ J8. I asked him to get for me the MASK cartoon on DVD. How I got to know that it was on DVD? Well, I was browsing through the Wikipedia website and typed in "M.A.S.K." and out came the search result. I was reading it with so much enthusiasm and somewhere near the bottom, the article talked about DVDs and its releases. There was this line that said:
"Madman Entertainment will be releasing the complete series over two DVD collections for the first time in Australia. Collection One was released in November 2006 and contains episodes 1 - 38. Collection Two is expected in March 2007 and will contain episodes 39 - 65 as well as episodes 1 - 10 of the racing series."
Upon reading that, I quickly asked Andrew if he could locate for me the 2 DVD collections as he is in Australia. He tried to locate Collection 1 for me but couldn't and found Collection 2 instead! Anyway, he told me that he bought Collection 1 already so I asked him whether it was all right for me to borrow Collection 1 from him.
Finally, I managed to get hold of MASK after a very long time! It certainly brought back lots of memories...
To end my post, Saint Andrews JC Concert Band will be having a concert entitled Bach to the Beat. I was going through the Singapore Band Fusion website and was looking at their repertoire when I saw Deep Purple Medley! Oh my god! I only heard that when Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra was playing and it would be great to hear the piece LIVE!!! Of course, I'm not expecting the SAJC Concert Band to be as good as the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra but still, it would be good to hear it and LIVE somemore! I can't wait!!!
I will be asking the Alumni members, David and especially the Double J's (Jackson and Jason) whether they would like to go... Reason being is that I think (judging from when I heard the piece was being played by the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra) that the saxophones were playing most of the medley...
If you read this post and would like to go as well, do let me know! Details are as follows :

Why?
I'm still unemployed.
It gets very frustrating knowing that you have applied for jobs that you hoped to get but all of that has turned to dust. Absolutely nothing. No news whatsoever.
I'm getting pretty tired of not getting a job.
Its getting to me already and if not, its getting to me fast!
Why can't I just get a proper and stable job like my friends?? Why??
All that I could really really hope for is a stable job with a good pay and a companion. That's all I'm asking.
Is it so hard for my wish to be granted?? Is it that hard??
